Matthew Fuller, PE
Matthew recently rejoined Peterson Guadagnolo Consulting Engineers PC as a Professional Engineer, having previously worked with the firm from 2004 to 2014. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
From 2014 to 2023, Matthew served as a Senior Project Engineer at Syracuse University, where he managed the planning, operation, and maintenance of the campus electrical distribution system serving approximately 250 buildings. He also led improvements to life safety systems across campus, designed various projects, and collaborated with outside consultants on capital projects to ensure compliance with campus standards.
Matthew has designed fire alarm systems for numerous commercial and residential buildings. Most recently, he developed a life safety event reporting system covering 125 buildings, featuring a proprietary supervising station with RF mesh communications and network redundancy.
In a multi-phase project, Matthew designed and supervised the repair and replacement of a failing electrical distribution system for a research data center. This included replacing microturbines and a lithium bromide absorption chiller with dual 750 kW generators and UPS systems.
In 2007, he managed the production of electrical drawings and construction oversight for a 35 kV electrical substation and 2,500 linear feet of ductbank. This project consolidated three older substations and associated feeders into a single, higher-voltage unit, with ductbanks connecting to the existing underground distribution network.
Matthew is currently a member of the IEEE.
