Marc Peterson, LEED AP
Marc is a 1997 graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Marc worked for Peterson Guadagnolo Consulting Engineers PC as an intern throughout his student years and rejoined PGPC as a full time employee in July 2003. Marc has been involved with the creation of a Confined Space Program, a campus wide Outside Plant Communications Cable Inventory, HVAC Projects including an atrium smoke management system, Central Plant projects including the complete modernization of a university district steam heating plant, electrical projects including paralleling generator and switchgear upgrades, and numerous Vertical Circulation/Elevator projects.
Marc’s elevator modernization/renovation project highlights include: a 3-unit, 21-story Residence Hall Elevator System, a 19,000 lb. Stagelift System; a 2-unit, 15-story Apartment Building Elevator System; an 8-unit, 8-story Skilled Nursing Facility Elevator System; a 7-unit, 23-story Apartment Building Elevator System; and a 5-unit, 7-story University Library Building.
Marc has also designed numerous new elevator installations. Installations of note include: a 2-unit, 10-story Residence Hall Elevator System; a 2-unit, 6-story University Laboratory Building Elevator System; and a 6-unit, 5-story University Academic Building Elevator System.
In addition to the design of elevator systems, Marc designs the related building MEP system interfaces for elevators, including electrical, fire alarm, fire protection, mechanical items, as well as coordination with surrounding architectural and structural elements.
Marc is a member of the City of Syracuse Elevator Board and is a USGBC Legacy LEED AP.
