This multi-million dollar project involved a complete replacement of the exterior lighting system at the Dome, completed shortly after the original air-supported roof was replaced with the now-iconic ribbon superstructure and new metal roof. The new system features color-changing LED lighting capable of dynamic scenes, active chases, and special effects. Extensive lighting calculations were conducted prior to construction to verify the design's performance. The design also required the addition of structural steel outriggers to create new lighting positions for effectively illuminating the superstructure columns and ribbon truss.
