University Dining Hall Renovation and Lighting Upgrades
8/2014
Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY
This project was a complete renovation of the serving and dining areas of the dining hall, plus a small private dining addition and moderate renovations to the kitchen area. One of the goals of the project was to bring more “pop” and “sizzle” into the University dining experience through the abundant use of accent lighting, color changing lighting elements, and bright, lively colors.
In addition to the lighting systems, this project included complete overhaul to all of the other MEPF systems, including new ventilation and exhaust systems, fire protection sprinkler systems, plumbing systems, fire alarm, and power distribution systems. All of the work was completed in a tight 12-week summer construction window between academic years.
