This comprehensive renovation of a 75,500-square-foot classroom and office building was executed in phases over three consecutive summers. The building remained fully occupiable during academic years between phases, as it serves as the primary classroom and faculty office space for multiple campus departments.

The project included a complete replacement of the HVAC system—encompassing all air handlers, ductwork, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, and terminal units. A new direct digital control (DDC) building management system replaced the original pneumatic controls for improved efficiency and automation.

Restrooms and plumbing systems throughout the building were fully replaced and modernized, alongside the replacement of all roof drainage and leaders. Electrical upgrades included a new main building transformer, main switchboard, feeders, and panelboards.

The renovation also incorporated modern LED lighting, an addressable fire alarm system, and completely new telecommunications infrastructure, bringing the building up to current standards for safety, functionality, and occupant comfort.
